CPR for Family and Friends
The CPR for Family and Friends awareness program is modular and teaches lay rescuers skills in CPR and relief of choking (foreign-body airway obstruction). It presents information about the American Heart Association adult Chain of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults. The course also presents information on the American Heart Association pediatric infant and child Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, how to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), and prevention of the most common fatal injuries in infants and children.
Heartsaver CPR for All Ages
Heartsaver CPR for All Ages teaches lay rescuers CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for adult, infant, and child victims. How to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for adult, infant and child victimsis also taught. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults, and breathing difficulties in children
